Utility Model Patent

Anti-Fog and Splash-Resistant. Both. No Trade-off.

WisDeflect™ is a patented goggle vent plug: a seat and cap snap into the goggle vent hole. Protrusions keep the airflow channel open; the guide cone and mesh holes allow ventilation while blocking liquid mist from entering in a straight path.

How It Works

Two-part structure: seat and cap.

Protrusions Maintain the Airflow Channel

When the cap seats over the base, protrusions on the guide cone hold the cap open so vent holes align with the guide cone and maintain airflow channel (A). Air enters through vent holes, flows along the oblique cone face, passes between protrusions, and enters the goggle interior through mesh holes.

Mesh Holes: Strength and Dual Splash Protection

Unlike a large central through-hole, the mesh hole layout preserves seat strength under cap compression. Liquid mist must pass around the mesh holes and guide cone: two deflected paths, with no straight line into the goggle.

Snap-Fit Installation

The seat inserts through the goggle vent hole from inside; a lip ring on the base holds it against the inner wall. The cap snaps on from the outside, locking the two pieces together. One or multiple vents per goggle depending on the design.

Applications

Goggles

Long-shift sealed eyewear in semiconductor and biotech environments fogs without airflow. Lens anti-fog coatings also do nothing for operators wearing prescription glasses underneath. WisDeflect™ maintains convection, reducing fog on both the goggle lens and the glasses worn under it, while the mesh holes and guide cone block liquid mist from a direct path inward. Specific protection standards can be discussed based on your requirements.

Airflow protects the lens and the glasses worn under it

Outdoor Electronics Enclosures

CCTV housings, outdoor routers, and industrial enclosures need vents that balance pressure and block rain. Potential extension application for WisDeflect™ vent design.

Extension application, contact us to discuss dimensions

Tactical & Extreme Sports

Goggles used in mud, rain, and spray benefit from splash deflection built into the structure itself, with no foam or membrane filter. Field performance depends on goggle design and exposure conditions.

Splash deflection by structure, no filter material

Protective Helmets & Headgear

Helmet intake vents exposed to direct spray face ingress risk. Potential extension application; contact us to discuss vent hole dimensions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is WisDeflect™ in production or still a concept?
Already in production, scheduled per order. Request physical samples for evaluation before placing a purchase order.
Will it fit my goggle model?
The standard version fits a Ø15.0 mm vent hole with 1.5 mm wall thickness. Other dimensions can be discussed based on your goggle design or a physical sample.
How does it block splash without a foam or membrane filter?
By structure alone: incoming liquid must pass around the mesh holes and the guide cone, two deflected paths with no straight line into the goggle interior. No filter material is involved.
Does it help operators who wear prescription glasses?
Yes. Lens anti-fog coatings only treat the goggle lens; prescription glasses underneath still fog in sealed eyewear. WisDeflect™ maintains airflow through its structure (no filter or coating), reducing fog on both the outer lens and inner glasses.
